Fight Night Hungary Amateur League

26th November was the first event of the new Hungarian amateur muaythai series, "Fight Night Hungary Amateur League". This series of competition offers more opportunities for fighters to improve their level. The league consists of open qualifying events where the fighters collect scores according to their results then in the final the best 4 fighters of each class meet in elimination system. The winner has the right to represent the country on IFMA international tournaments.

The first event was held in the town of Salgótarján, North of Hungary, close to the Slovakian border. Due to the icy roads some teams couldn't arrive, but still, there were 24 fights in IFMA rules, from the age of 12 to 33. The fights started at 11:30, and the first part ended at 16:30. The local fighters have fought on the evening gala- 7 amateur fights and 3 fights in professional K1 rules.

That was a good start, and we look forward to continue the series on 28th January 2012!
